And the few changes Forbidden West does make are all for the better, improving on what was successful and changing several gameplay mechanics.  

In this follow-up, Aloy, the main character of the franchise, travels to new places to learn the truth about the past while also slowing the planet's biosphere's rapid degradation. You'll find new herds of animalistic robots to fight as you enter the Forbidden West. The fighting there is surprisingly tactical, focusing more on choosing your shots than simply launching arrows at your foes. There are also a ton of side pursuits and diverting diversions to find. Not to mention, the PS5 version of the game looks simply amazing. You'll probably spend many hours simply taking in the amazing landscapes and scenery.

7. Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart

Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart was dubbed the PS5's "born to play" game back in 2021. And even now, two years later, it is still a great example of what the PS5 is capable of. This is partly due to its quick load times and effective use of the haptic feedback provided by the DualSense controller. Additionally, the game's vibrant cartoonish aesthetics and extremely emotive character movements make it almost look like a playable Pixar film. 

The fact that Rift Apart plays so much like every other Ratchet & Clank mainline game is actually to the game's advantage because the franchise's proven formula is so effective. The spirited Lombax and his robot buddy embark on yet another exciting journey in which they visit far-off worlds, meet new friends (and foes), and amass a brand-new collection of ingenious weapons. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's technical performance on the PS5 is a tad underwhelming, but if these problems can be fixed with post-launch patches, it will be almost flawless.

Gran Turismo 7 is a highly deserving candidate for the title of "the real driving simulator." For petrolheads, this most recent installment in the storied racing series is a must-play because it is the most comprehensive to date. You'll race in some of the most spectacular vehicles ever created on renowned real-world tracks in a variety of game modes. Additionally, many of the vehicles on the market may be fine-tuned to your exact specifications by adjusting anything from tire grip to suspension levels. 

Gran Turismo 7 may be enjoyed by everybody, regardless of their interest in automobiles. The controls are really easy to use, and the career mode is perfect for beginners. 10. The Last of Us Part 1

The original spirit of Demon's Souls has been preserved in the remake by Bluepoint Games. However, a spectacular level of graphic refinement and a rock-solid framerate have boosted the entire experience.

You'll be familiar with the score if you've played other FromSoftware titles like Elden Ring. In Demon's Souls, everything in the dark fantasy setting of Boletaria has the potential to kill you in a handful of hits. And although the game may initially seem overly challenging, if you take the time to grasp its different mechanics, you'll be rewarded with one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences on the PS5. 

Demon's Souls is undoubtedly the most esoteric game in the franchise, but fans who have already experienced later Souls games should exercise caution because some of the more dated themes from the original are still intact. 

12. Hogwarts Legacy

After more than a decade, Hogwarts Legacy is the first (non-mobile) game to be set in the Harry Potter Wizarding World, and the wait was well worth it. In Hogwarts Legacy, which is set more than a century before the boy who existed walked the halls of the famous magical institution, you can design your witch or wizard, get assigned to a Hogwarts house, and then go on a huge adventure with dragons, goblins, and evil wizards. 

The Harry Potter novel aficionados will enjoy the game's core plot, and the spellcasting battle is surprisingly fun, but Hogwarts itself steals the show. The iconic castle has been faithfully reconstructed digitally, and its corridors and classrooms are filled with mysteries to be unlocked. Additionally, there is a broader world to discover, which includes the charming village of Hogsmeade and other tiny Hamlets populated by a variety of magical beings.  

13. Dead Space 

One of the most adored survival horror games ever created, Dead Space has recently been revived on the PS5. Thanks to updated visuals that make this one of the most frightful console experiences ever, this remake of the 2008 original makes the horrifying sights and noises of the USG Ishimura more distressing than ever before.

If you've never played Dead Space, you play as Isaac Clarke, a space miner who is stranded on a massive mining ship that has been taken over by the terrifying Necromorphs. The main selling point of Stray is the opportunity to play as a cat. Naturally, this unique selling point has generated a lot of interest in the game as gamers have enjoyed the concept of controlling a cute cat on a journey to find its way home. Don't disregard Stray as merely a cat simulator, though. There is much more to this adventure game than just scratching at scratching posts. 

Exploring this incredibly intricate cyberpunk universe is a real treat. And within its drizzly streets and filthy passageways, there are a ton of mysteries to learn and worthwhile artifacts to discover. Not to mention that the PS5 version of the game is one of the best examples of how powerful the console's graphics are right now.

Another highlight is the special perspective that comes with playing as a fuzzy feline, and the narrative progresses to an oddly emotional conclusion. Even if you're more of a dog person, Stray is a unique experience well worth your time despite its basic gaming mechanics. 

15. Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a PS4 interstitial sequel to 2018's Spider-Man that Sony-owned developer Insomniac created to keep gamers busy until the full-fledged Spider-Man 2 releases later this year.

You control the titular superhero in this open-world superhero game a year after he gains spider-like abilities from being bitten by a genetically altered insect. As Miles is now the only person protecting New York City after Peter Parker temporarily departed the city for a few weeks, the teenage wall-crawler will need to recall everything of his mentor's teachings. Fortunately, Miles has a variety of new Venom Powers to aid him in fending off the fresh threats that are appearing across the sleepless city.   

Spider-Man: Miles Morales may be more of the same, with the same cinematic action and swift movement as its predecessor, but that's not necessarily a bad thing when the core concept is this exciting.
